THANK YOU for allowing me to take part in your very special day! My goal is to work with you one-on-one and to make sure I capture your vision that you have of your wedding day in the all the ways that you would like.
Sometimes it is SO easy to get caught up in the stress of wedding planning, but that's what I hope to alleviate! This guide is specifically designed to help you with any unanswered question you might have OR maybe you haven't thought about yet!
I'm here for you EVERY step of the way!!
xoxo,
H
Engagement pictures can be used for save the dates, invitations, for use on your wedding website, and make great guest book albums for your wedding! These will be the memories you will have of this exciting occasion in your life.
This is mainly for getting to know each other better! I know I can be awkward in front of the camera BUT if I know the person and I'm accustomed to them - usually it's a bit easier. That's the goal here!! I want you both to feel just like you're hanging out with a friend during the session AND on your big day!
I always offer FREE engagement sessions in Charleston, WV or I can come to you for an additional fee!
I normally suggest booking your engagement session about 4-5 months in advance of your wedding day. Do not wait until the last minute because my availability books up super quick - so don't wait!!!!
I've worked super hard to find suitable locations that still work for everyone's visions! When planning your session, start with my location guide first! Remember this guide will be specifically for Charleston, WV. If you're wanting us to travel to you - that's when your ideas for locations really come in handy!!!
The other thing to think about is the weather! Weather can be unpredictable. We will keep an eye on the weather as the day approaches so that we can reschedule if needed. We do not take our equipment out in the rain - but I also want you to receive photos that you LOVE, so please just be flexible if we need to reschedule!
After we do all of the photos - you'll partyyyy at your reception!!
You enjoy coming down the aisle - we'll handle the rest!!
After the ceremony - we will go into your family photos, any remaining wedding party photos, and your couples photos!
You can do these before or after the ceremony - but usually it's easier to get at least the wedding party done before the ceremony!
Usually we do the first look(s) 1-2 hours before the ceremony!
Typically we get there 2-3 hours before the ceremony so we can get all of the details + getting ready!

First looks are a great way to take a breather before the craziness of your ceremony begins. The photos capture you and your partner in a quiet sweet moment before the wedding. This is the moment when you first see each other and you can get it all caught on camera. I highly recommend opting for a first look if you are awkward as well - it's just the two of you vs. everyone staring at you!
But then we alsooo understand if you've dreamed of the moment when you come down the aisle for the first time. Either way works - it's genuinely just up to you!
Per my contract, I require that there be absolutely NO lasers. If lasers are present, our cameras are immediately set down and we stop shooting.
Lasers have the ability to destroy our cameras sensors. So to protect our equipment and make sure you get the photos/videos you dreamed of we simply ask that there be no lasers.
Can my DJ have lasers?
For photos: you'll receive a link on your email. You can automatically download everything from this one link! The email will walk you through it!
For videos: you'll receive a link on your email. You can automatically watch and download everything on there!
How do we receive our photos and videos?
On your gallery delivery email, you'll see a "gallery aftercare" section. Make sure to fully read through this!!
This talks about making sure to download everything and how to back it up since your gallery will expire after a certain date.
Do we need to do anything after we receive our photos/videos?
